Photograph of Picasso sculpture
Subject
Sculpture
Description
Photograph of a sculpture created by Morton C. Bradley, Jr., in 1991. This sculpture is an octahedral form. Inspired by the helices seen in The Graph (cat. 53), Bradley moves the Helices series forward to create a groundbreaking piece that would set the tone for the final and most advanced series in his body of work. A precursor to his Minimal Surface series, Picasso is composed of helices that join the vertices on a octahedral form. Picasso is fluid and curvaceous, and geometry seems to have little to do with the sculpture.
